Exam Success at Newlands Academy!

GCSE results continue on a rapidly increasing upward trend at Newlands Academy and this year we saw the highest number of students being entered to sit their GCSE exams.

In line with this huge achievement, we have also seen the highest number of good passes ever at the school. Blake Taylor, the school captain, secured good passes in all seven of his GCSE subjects and of particular note is the grade 6 he achieved in Media Studies.

What is even more remarkable is this young man is autistic and has struggled with social and exam anxiety. The school is very proud of Blake's achievement and his results are down to his determination to succeed in spite of the personal challenges he faces.
