Welcome to Foxes!

Thank you for visiting our class page.

Welcome to Foxes 2019-2020

Welcome to the ‘FOXES’ home page. Our class teacher is Mr Briffa and our teaching assistants are Mrs Good and Mrs Hartley. You will see us on the playground every morning from 8.40am.

This Autumn term, we are learning about dance alongside The Children's University on Mondays which requires a P.E. kit, however, recommended that pupils keep their P.E. kit in school at all times as we often have extra P.E. sessions such as Freddy Fit. We will be combining our learning, music and other forms of media to create a performance for the whole school.

Our goal is to listen to all children read or encourage children to read in class so please ensure that your child's book bag and home reading book are brought to school every day. Please sign and date if you have heard your child read at home to enable us to change their book when they need to as well as encourages the children to read more. Reading records will be checked and books changed at least every Friday.

Homework will be handed out on a Friday to be returned by Tuesday if it is to be marked.

This term's theme is Anglo Saxons v Vikings!

We are in for a brilliant year starting with our theme: Anglos Saxons v Vikings. Our theme learning is centered around History but also includes elements of Geography, Art, D.T. and Computing within our brilliant theme books.

We are happy to be working alongside the other year 5 class:

Wolves - Y5

Science

In Science, we are investigating different materials. We are looking at what materials are, their properties, objects are made from each material, comparing materials and making sensible material choices.
