Koalas - Y2

Welcome to Koalas!

Welcome to the ‘Koalas’ home page. Our class teacher is Miss Everard and our teaching assistant is Mrs Skelton. You will see us on the playground every morning from 8.40am if you have any questions or messages.

Our P.E. days this term are Monday and Tuesday. It is, however, recommended that pupils keep their P.E kit in school at all times as we often have extra P.E. sessions such as Freddy Fit.

We listen to children read every day so please ensure that your child's book bag and home reading book are brought to school every day. Please sign and date if you have heard your child read at home to enable us to change their book when they need to. Reading records will be checked and books changed on a weekly basis.

Homework will be handed out on termly basis in the form of min projects. You will be given five challenges to choose from during our current topic. You can also help your child by reading daily and signing your child's home - school reading record and practicing times tables and weekly spellings. We have a spelling test every Friday morning, please help you child to practise their spellings so they can achieve full marks.

In the Koalas our topic this term is Under the Sea. We will be finding out all about the creatures of the deep blue sea and comparing them to other living things in their habitats. We are planning a visit to Hull's most popular museum, The Deep, to enjoy a first hand experience of all things that live Under the Sea. Please see our attached newsletter for more information.

Please keep an eye out for our class twitter feed and and don't forget we will be sharing all of our Wow! moments with you via Marvelous Me. Please send us a high five if you like what we are doing.

Thank you for visiting our class page
