All state schools receive pupil premium funding as a specific grant for those students registered as eligible for Free School Meals: in reception to Year 11; those students whose parents are in the Armed Services, and those who are looked after by the Local Authority. The pupil premium is used by New Forest Academy to address any underlying inequalities for those children that are eligible by ensuring funding reaches students who need it most.

Providing a rich, high quality learning experience for our students is at the heart of all we strive to do at New Forest Academy. Our commitment is to ensure that all students, regardless of their starting point, are given the opportunity, encouragement and aspiration to explore and achieve their own potential and be in line with their peers. It is with this aim in mind that pupil premium spending is therefore allocated where it most benefits the diverse range of academic, social and personal requirements of individuals and groups of disadvantaged students. Robust monitoring of interventions already in place enable us to determine the most effective deployment of funding and provide evidence through which to target additional new strategies.
