Charity Project - WaterAid

As part of our work with UNICEF we have completed many charity projects. We have just received a certificate from WaterAid thanking Montgomery Primary Academy for £563.55. We recognise that every child has the right to clean water. Well done everyone!

Birmingham Children's Hospital - Charity Champions

Pupils at Montgomery Primary Academy are this week’s Charity Champions after they took forty winks at school to raise over £500 towards Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity’s Eye Believe Appeal. The pupils, all part of the school’s Junior Leadership Team, collected sponsorship money before sleeping overnight at the school – but that wasn’t all. The team also organised a fantastic fundraising afternoon, with games, bake sales and a student talent show.

Montgomery Primary Academy Wins Award For Exceptional 2015 Results

Montgomery Primary Academy has been nationally recognised for its exceptional 2015 performance by the Schools, Students and Teachers network (SSAT).

Sue Williamson, Chief Executive of SSAT said:

‘It’s my great pleasure to commend Montgomery Primary Academy on their excellent 2015 performance, and to have the opportunity to highlight and share their great work at the SSAT Educational Outcomes celebration event. I have the privilege of visiting a lot of schools and I am always impressed by the creativity of teachers in engaging and inspiring their students.

‘I hope that SSAT’s Educational Outcomes award will highlight the professionalism, commitment and hard work of the leaders, teachers and students at Montgomery Primary Academy. Monty Maths Success! (18/04/2016)

Montgomery came away victorious from an AET regional maths problem solving competition held at Percy Shurmer this week. The competing teams had to work together to solve a variety of problems involving all of their maths knowledge. Teams from Montgomery secured 4 of the top 5 places with the winning team going on to represent both the school and the region in the AET national finals in June. A huge well done goes out to all of the children who took part- they did the school proud.

Pupil Premium Awards 2016

Montgomery Primary Academy have won a local award in the Key Stage 2 category of the Pupil Premium Awards 2016. This celebrates that we have used our pupil premium funding in a highly effective way to improve the performance of disadvantaged pupils, including those who are currently or were previously looked after.

UNICEF UK Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA)

Montgomery Primary Academy has achieved the Recognition of Commitment as a Rights Respecting School and we are now working towards the level 1 award. Please look at what we are doing in the new RRSA tab above.
