At Maltings Academy we take a whole school approach to wellbeing. We know that if a child is feeling safe, happy and confident they are more likely to learn at school and progress.
There are specific targeted sessions weekly during tutor time which promote ways for students to explore and understand how they can improve their wellbeing.
We look at practical activities students can do in the academy or at home.
There is also a weekly wellbeing newsletter produced for the students to learn about different aspects of wellbeing and complete tasks or various challenges. Within the newsletter is a link to apps and agencies that can offer support.
If a child is worried during the Academy day they can talk to their teachers, tutors and student progress leaders. If more support is needed then referrals can be put in place to our Phoenix room and other outside agencies.
