Pupils are expected to complete all homework tasks set by their teacher to the best of their ability.
This could be reading from a reading or library book, learning spellings or times tables, or a written task. Occasionally additional optional homework may also be set.
Nothing can be more important to the success of an academy than the partnership between parent, child and teacher. By sharing books with children from a young age, by listening to them as they practice reading, by guiding children with spellings and other homework tasks, parents can help children to develop skills and to value learning.
