Kingsley Academy Provider Access Policy

Please see our Provider Access Policy , which sets out Kingsley Academy's arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils at the school for the purposes of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.

Education, information, advice and guidance

At Kingsley Academy, we are committed to providing our students with a comprehensive programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) and work related learning (WRL) for all students in years 7 - 13. Kingsley Academy endeavours to work towards the Career Development Institute (CDI) Framework for careers, employability and enterprise education 7-19 (November 2015), the Department For Education (DfE) Careers guidance and inspiration in schools Statutory guidance (March 2015) and other good practice guidance from the Department of Education, Ofsted and other relevant bodies.

Every individual should be prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. Our Careers Education Programme provides students with skills, knowledge, support and experience of the world of work to enable them to make informed career choices. Another important element for our students is the access to independent and impartial advice and guidance, which supports them in broadening their horizons, raising aspirations and reaching their own careers aspirations.

These pathway and career choices will ultimately impact on the lives of all students so we strongly encourage parents and carers to play an active role in exploring the options and choices which suit their child best at every stage in their child's educational life.
