Mr E Cahill

Headteacher

Teacher of English and Business Studies

Mr Cahill joined Kingsley Academy as Headteacher in February 2019. Mr Cahill is an experienced Headteacher and Senior Leader, with a track record of demonstrable school improvement. Mr Cahill, has previously worked as a Headteacher in a challenging secondary school in Lambeth, securing a significant improvement across all measures in a short period of time. Previously Mr Cahill worked as a Principal Director and as a Vice Principal in Brent and in Merton, playing a key role in leading both those schools from Ofsted 'Special Measures' to Ofsted 'Good'.

As Headteacher, Mr Cahill is responsible for:

  • Overall strategic direction of the academy
  • Development of relationships with the community, local authority and other partnerships
  • Leadership and management of the school in partnership with Academies Enterprise Trust


Mr B Tailor

Deputy Headteacher

Teacher of English & Sociology

Mr Tailor joined Kingsley Academy in April 2019 from his role as an Interim Headteacher in Northamptonshire. Prior to this Mr Tailor worked as a Deputy Headteacher, leading on Teaching, Learning and Assessment in a large complex secondary school in the West Midlands. In this role Mr Tailor was integral to transforming provision leading the school from Ofsted 'Special Measures' to Ofsted 'Good' within 21 months.

Mrs K Halpenny

Assistant Headteacher

Mrs Halpenny joined Kingsley Academy in April 2019, from her role as Assistant Headteacher in a secondary school in Richmond. Mrs Halpenny has substantial senior leadership experience and is responsible for developing the Behaviour and Rewards programmes at the academy as well as leading Admissions, Attendance and Key Stage 4. Mrs Halpenny is fluent in Arabic and French is passionate about the role of languages within education, having started her career as a trainee teacher at the academy’s predecessor school over 20 years ago.

Mr A Liddle

Mr Liddle joined Kingsley Academy as Assistant Headteacher in June 2019, from his role as Assistant Headteacher in a secondary school in Buckinghamshire. Prior to this Mr Liddle worked as an Assistant Headteacher in a secondary school in Lambeth.

Mr P Govender

Assistant Headteacher

Mr Govender joined Kingsley Academy as Assistant Headteacher in September 2019, from his role as Associate Assistant Headteacher at an 'Outstanding' school in Hillingdon. Mr Govender leads on Curriculum, Assessment and Raising Standards at the academy, and has substantial experience as a successful middle and senior leader. Mr Govender is passionate about the role of knowledge within a successful and challenging curriculum and has played a leading role in developing Kingsley’s new rigorous knowledge bound curriculum.

Mr B Tinsley

Mr Tinsley joined Kingsley Academy as Assistant Headteacher in September 2019, from his role as Director of Faculty at a secondary school in Lambeth. Mr Tinsley is passionate about developing an ambitious and enriching tutor time programme at the academy that ensures that our students at Kingsley develop as articulate, and confident learners who can express themselves clearly and can participate in a positive way in their local community.

Ms C Williams

Ms Williams joined Kingsley Academy as Assistant Headteacher in September 2019, from her role as Assistant Headteacher in a comprehensive school in Hillingdon. Ms Williams leads on Beginner Teachers, Middle Leadership and Professional Learning at the academy. Ms Williams is passionate about Teaching and Learning and works closely with Mr Tailor, our Deputy Headteacher in transforming the quality of provision at the academy to ensure that students benefit from high quality, engaging lessons in every classroom.

Ms L Razzaque

Associate Assistant Headteacher

Ms Razzaque joined Kingsley Academy as Associate Assistant Headteacher in September 2019, from her role in a large secondary school in Southwark. Ms Razzaque has significant experience as an Assistant Headteacher, Senior Leader and Director of Science in a range of high performing London schools. Ms Razzaque also works closely with Mr Tailor, our Deputy Headteacher on the development of marking and feedback across the academy.

Ms A Hawkes

Associate Assistant Headteacher

Teacher of Design Technology and SEND

Ms Hawkes took on the role of Associate Assistant Headteacher at Kingsley Academy in April 2019, having previously held the role of SENDCo at the academy. Ms Hawkes has significant experience as a middle leader in two outstanding schools in Inner London, and leads on the development of the SEND and EAL provision at the academy, as well as leading safeguarding across the school as our Designated Safeguarding Leader.
