Welcome from our Headteacher

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our school. I joined the school in February 2019, having previously led a number of secondary schools in London to become centres of excellence. I am privileged to lead Kingsley Academy as Headteacher, and extremely proud of the phenomenal achievements that we have secured over the past 12 months. Our school is a warm welcoming place to be, which is characterised by excellent teaching, high levels of support and exceptional relationships between staff and students.

Our students are our absolute strength. They are overwhelmingly polite, respectful and hard-working. At Kingsley Academy, we are big believers, in instilling 'good old fashioned values' of respect, hard work and kindness in our students. We expect our students to work hard and behave well both inside and outside the classroom. This is evident in our students attitude towards learning, their respectful and polite manner towards each other, and in their interactions in the local community.

Historically our school has had a chequered past, however, we have begun something of a renaissance in the last 12 months. We have worked hard to recruit the best teachers and leaders in London, with track records of working in 'Outstanding' and high performing schools. We have revised our approach towards curriculum, towards behaviour and towards teaching, to ensure that each aspect of our school is of high quality. We believe that every child deserves disruption free learning, every lesson, every day,, Behaviour at the academy is calm and purposeful.

Ofsted visited our school in October 2019, and acknowledged that Kingsley Academy had 'transformed in a short period of time'. Inspectors judged our school as 'Good' in all areas, and commented that students received a good education at the academy, and that the school had outstanding potential for further development.

Our school is continuing to establish itself as an exceptional place of learning. In just 12 months, our Year 11 results have dramatically improved and Kingsley Academy is now placed in the top 15% of schools nationally and as the 2nd highest performing school in Hounslow for progress. These improvements have led to Kingsley Academy being one of the most improved schools in the country.

Equally at A Level our students make similar excellent progress, with Kingsley's Sixth Form placing 2nd in Hounslow for progress, with a large number of our students securing top grades of A and A* and securing places in Russell Group universities.

At Kingsley Academy, we want to establish ourselves, as 'a school at the heart of our community, developing knowledge, ambition and kindness to prepare students for success at University and the world beyond'. In order to achieve this, we are committed to ensuring that every lesson at the academy, is challenging and engaging. I am passionate about the power of education to transform lives, and feel strongly that Kingsley Academy, now has the right staff in place to ensure that our school goes from strength to strength. I am proud of the progress that Kingsley Academy has made so far, and know that it will quite quickly take it's rightful place as an Outstanding school, and as a beacon of excellence in West London.

In order to get a true sense of our remarkable school, I urge you to organise a visit to see our school in action. If you would like to arrange a visit, then this can be arranged by contacting, Julie Traynor, PA to the Headteacher jtraynor@kingsleyacademy.org who will be happy to arrange a suitable time.

Yours faithfully,

Elroy Cahill
