Why choose us?
In January 2024, we moved in to our brand new modern school building with all new facilities and provisions for all of our children! Along with our new building, children at Hockley Primary School still have access to our adventure playground, beautiful woodland areas and new school field.
Our brand new school building compliments our already established exceptional teaching and learning which drives our high performing outcomes. Our end of Key Stage results and Phonics outcomes are consistently significantly above national expectations and one of the strongest in our 57 school's academy trust. This celebrates our school ethos "mighty oaks from little acorns grow..." where we have high expectations and tailored provision for each and every child.
At Hockley Primary School our ethos goes beyond a building, we offer a small, family feel community school where everyone gets to know each other very well.
It is essential for us that we create an environment of emotional warmth, with consistent praise and encouragement, so that each child feels individually valued, motivated, safe, secure and therefore confident, to meet new challenges and reach our high expectations with a sense of achievement and pride.
We aim to ignite a life-long love of learning within the EYFS, and promote the social, emotional, physical, spiritual and intellectual development of each child.
Teaching and learning opportunities are based around the individual interests and fascinations of the child, alongside stimulating and challenging adult led curriculum sessions. Provision is tailored in a way which promotes enthusiasm, independence and autonomy.
