Welcome to Hazelwood Academy. We know that choosing a primary school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your children and family.

We are a one form entry striving to continually build on our current strengths delivering the remarkable lives vision for each and every child. In addition to our dynamic, creative and well qualified teaching staff we have an excellent team of teaching assistants who work across the school, supporting and enhancing children’s learning.

All our staff are highly committed and dedicated to providing pupils with high quality learning opportunities, in all aspects of the curriculum. Additional support staff in school take immense pride in their work and also make a strong contribution to the high standards we maintain at Hazelwood Academy.

We are very proud of the successes of our school – the excellent relationships we have with families and friends within our community and of the staff, children and parents who work hard to make our school a happy place where we can learn together in friendship. Our strong relationships are highlighted by the additional support we receive from parent helpers and grandparents and friends of the school. 

At Hazelwood Academy the relationships between the staff and students are phenomenal. Staff have high expectations, are ambitious for the students and they know them well.
