Land of Green Ginger Day (26th June 2018)
On Monday 18th June, a mysterious wooden crate appeared in the middle of our playground! We all wondered what was inside! We opened the crate in assembly to find the special book and our Land of Green Ginger Day began. We answered Resilient Reader questions about the Prologue, imagined what could be inside one of the other crates hidden underground and looked at maps of Hull to find places from within the book. In the afternoon, our parents and carers joined us for some exciting activities. When we got home, the book was already there waiting for us! What an amazing day!
The Big Malarkey! (26th June 2018)
Some Year Four children visited The Big Malarkey festival in East Park on Friday to hear stories read by Jarvis and take part in a brilliant poetry session with Paul Cookson. We had a brilliant time reciting poetry and experiencing all the Malarkey Park had to offer! Here's what we got up to...
James Reckitt Children's Book Awards (26th June 2018)
This week, some lucky Year Six children went to the James Reckitt Children's Book Awards. They have been reading five challenging books since January. During the day, they got the chance to vote for their favourite book after hearing the authors talk about their stories. They met the authors, had their books signed and enjoyed the amazing Malarkey Park too! What a brilliant day!
