Child Development

OCR Cambridge National Level 1/2 Child Development, this course is available as an option course in KS4, it will help you to develop an understanding of the important roles and responsibilities that come with caring for and working with children from birth to five years old.

There are 3 mandatory units that are covered over two years for this course:

UNIT RO18 (exam unit) - Health and well-being for child development

UNIT RO19 (assignment unit) - Understand the equipment and nutritional needs of children from birth to five years

UNIT RO20 (assignment unit)- Understand the development of a child from birth to five years

You may then proceed to study a Level 3 BTEC qualification in KS5.
