Rated 'Good' by Ofsted 2019 New building and playground finished Summer 2019 Provision for pupils aged 2-11 years old

Welcome to our school's website! We love our school and are so proud to be able to share just a snapshot of what we're all about.

Cottingley Primary Academy is part of a large family of schools, Academies Enterprise Trust.

As an AET academy, our mission is pure and simple: to enable our pupils to lead remarkable lives. This is the golden thread that binds us all together – the reason that despite our very different paths we are all part of one family.

Our Vision:

At Cottingley Primary Academy we want each and every child inspired to choose a Remarkable Life.

Our Mission:

To gather and motivate inspirational people committed to delivering an excellent education that launches children into remarkable lives.

Our Values:

As an AET academy, we choose to be unusually brave. We're not afraid to challenge wrongs, to make the right call, even when it's both unusual and difficult to do so.

We are on the search for discovering what's possible. At Cottingley Primary Academy we look to create 'eureka moments' for our pupils, helping them discover a world of possibilities and opportunities.

We always strive to push the limits. We don't settle for less than excellent and we won't allow our pupils to either. We resolve to overcome any self-imposed limits.

At Cottingley Primary Academy, we commit to being big-hearted. We choose to treat each other with kindness, warmth and care, believing that everybody matters and believing in one another.

Our school is about creating exciting and engaging learning opportunities in our newly-refurbished, first-class facilities. Our curriculum, for pupils aged 2 -11 years, focuses on our key drivers, the extra things that we identify as being really important:

safe risk-taking

We provide enrichment opportunities every half term for every child so that they learn to love learning and create really special memories of their time in school. We also pride ourselves on our excellent range of after-school clubs, Friday afternoon enrichment activities (for those who wish to take them up) and our fantastic family support team who are always there to support you, no matter what you need. In February 2019 our school was graded 'Good' by Ofsted in all areas and we are excited to be on our journey to outstanding.

We believe that our school is a great place filled with amazing children and a wonderfully friendly, hard-working and highly-skilled staff. Why not come and join us?
