We consider it important to give children first hand experience of the world as it relates to their work in the academy and children will be taken on a variety of class visits. Sometimes these will be local visits but on other occasions they will be further afield. We always aim to make the visit a worthwhile experience and to keep the cost to the absolute minimum. During their time at the academy, children will have the opportunity to spend nights away from home on a residential visit. The emphasis here will be on the study of a different environment. At all times health and safety issues are of paramount concern.
The academy council is a forum where class delegates make suggestions towards the improvement of the academy. It runs the tuck shop to raise funds for additional resources and alerts the senior management team and governors to any needs it has detected from its perspective of the academy.
