Message from the Executive Headteacher
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our Academy website and hope that you find the content informative, enjoyable, and it gives you a clear picture of what a great school we have and what fantastic children attend Ashingdon Primary Academy. Ashingdon is a single form entry Academy with approximately 200 children on roll. All seven classes are of a good size and are independently enclosed from each other. We have facilities and a long standing tradition that we are proud of. Our spacious field, adventure trail, outstanding library and heated, outdoor swimming pool are all areas of our school that are used with great keenness by our children. Teaching areas are safe, stimulating and well maintained.
At Ashingdon, we provide a vibrant curriculum, leading to the children producing work and academic progress that we are proud of. We also offer a wide range of extra curricular activities throughout the year. The teachers and support staff form a very strong team and provide a caring and nurturing environment for the children to flourish in. We work closely with local schools, and the Academies Enterprise Trust, to provide and promote high standards throughout our school. Pupil outcomes are strong, as a result of our children’s work ethic, parental support and wonderful staff input. Parental involvement, at Ashingdon, is encouraged through a strong induction process for Foundation Stage children, parents providing invaluable, voluntary support in classes and on trips, plus a well established PTA, which provides a programme of fundraising activities through the year.
We hope that you enjoy looking around our website and finding our more information about ourfantastic school.
