Work at AET
AET aims to provide an excellent education to every child, in every classroom, every day. With excellent leadership and teaching in every school, we will help children go on to lead successful and happy lives.
To support all our staff to achieve our goals, you’ll find more at AET. More opportunities, so you can forge your own path. More care and support, so you can prioritise what matters most. More purpose, for you and for the children we are inspiring.
We were awarded the Disability Confident accreditation by Jobcentre Plus.
The symbol shows our commitment to employing disabled people and demonstrates we will: -
Interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for a job vacancy and consider them on their disabilities;
Ensure there is a mechanism in place to discuss, at any time, but at least once a year, with disabled employees what can be done to make sure they can develop and use their abilities;
Make every effort when employees become disabled to make sure they stay in employment;
Take action to ensure that all employees develop the appropriate level of disability awareness needed to make these commitments work;
Each year, review the commitments and what has been achieved, plan ways to improve on them and let employees and Jobcentre Plus know about progress and future plans.
We are using and promoting this symbol throughout our Recruitment process.
