AET is today announcing that Graeme Napier has been appointed as the new Executive Principal of Tendring Technology College. Mr Napier is an experienced leader from another school within the AET network, having previously overseen Bexleyheath Academy in South London, transforming the school from Inadequate to Ofsted “Good” after many years of turbulence.
David Lees who has previously been Executive Principal working in both TTC and Clacton Coastal Academy (CCA) will now be focusing his attention on CCA to make sure that both Clacton schools have more dedicated senior leadership expertise as they begin this next phase of school improvement. He continues to be an Executive Principal for the Essex region.
Mr Napier will work closely with Mrs Teri-Leigh Jones who continues as Head of School.
Claire Heald, Director of Education at AET said:
“All schools have been through a challenging period throughout the pandemic and we want to make sure that both Tendring Technology College and Clacton Coastal Academy have the right support as we begin this next period of school improvement. David Lees has done an excellent job leading both schools, but it’s now time to have additional leadership expertise for each school. Graeme Napier is an extremely talented leader and both he and David will do excellent jobs to make sure our Clacton schools are delivering an excellent education, every day.”
Graeme Napier said:
“I’m delighted to be taking up the role at TTC – there is clearly a passionate and very capable team already in place and I’m looking forward to getting to know the students, the families and the wider community.”
