James Nicholson - Chief Financial Officer
James is the Chief Financial Officer since November 2017. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and joins AET from E-ACT where he led on finance, ICT, estates, legal issues and group procurement.
Whilst there, James was instrumental in having the organisation’s Financial Notice to Improve lifted, just 12 months after he joined the Trust. He led the implementation of curriculum based budgeting throughout the organisation.
Prior to E-ACT, James was the Group Finance Director for United Learning, and was involved in the opening of their first academy in 2003 and was part of the senior team that oversaw a ten-fold increase in group revenue.
