AESD Distance Learning

Dear AESD Families,

Based on information we have received from the Orange County Health Care Agency indicating an alarming increase in positive COVID-19 cases in Anaheim, and a documented rise in cases in children, the AESD Board voted and approved to begin the 2020-21 school year in a fully Distance Learning model until further notice.

We will continue monitoring the situation and maintain communication with you as updates are available.

Our Distance Learning Model

  • New: Live daily video interaction with teachers and classmates via Microsoft Teams.

  • Classroom teacher assignments will be sent to parents via email or US mail by August 7, 2020.

  • Kindergarten students: School administrators will contact families to set up appointments to receive technology during the first week of August.

  • Meals: Meal distribution will continue at each school site Monday through Friday.

  • Childcare: we will continue to work with the YMCA to offer full day childcare on our school sites through their Anaheim Achieves program. Interested parents can access information for enrollment here.

This site will be continually updated with new resources and materials for parents and students. Please check back for the latest and follow AESD on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram for the latest news.
