The Final results-meeTTogether 2
Today marked the final activity of the Festival Food Traditions project, and it was a wonderful celebration of the entire process! The virtual meeting brought together all the schools involved, providing a space to present the results of the work developed and to reflect on the interactions that took place throughout the project. It was an immense success and a truly enriching experience for everyone.
This journey has left us all gastronomically richer, as we had the opportunity to explore, prepare, and savor delicacies from each other's countries—Portugal and Türkiye. The cultural exchange deepened our appreciation for the diversity of flavors and traditions, creating lasting connections and memories.
Today’s celebration was not just about showcasing the results, but also about honoring the collaboration, learning, and shared passion for culinary heritage that defined this project. As we close this chapter, we are filled with gratitude and pride for all that we have achieved together. Here’s to the friendships formed, the knowledge gained, and the flavors discovered!
We invite everyone to visit ' The Final Results' page on our website.
And here it is, the celebration of the end of our project. And we close with flavors from both countries. See you on Tuesday

The day has come
Today, 27 November, the schools of the etwinning project ‘Festival Food Traditions’ from Portugal and Turkey held an online work-sharing session via the Google Meet platform.
Although we faced some technical difficulties at the beginning, with the commitment and dedication of the teachers and students from all the countries involved, we managed to overcome the obstacles and the sharing session ran successfully. This moment allowed each school to present the progress made within the framework of the project, especially with regard to the gastronomic traditions of each region.
The Food Traditions Festival Project is undoubtedly warming the hearts of all the participants. The exchange of knowledge and flavours has been an enriching experience for everyone involved, and now the next step will be to try out the recipes shared during this journey of cultural sharing.
Here's a glimpse of the moments lived, reflecting everyone's enthusiasm and collaborative work. We look forward to continuing to discover new recipes and learning more about the culinary traditions that unite our cultures. The Food Traditions Festival is in full swing, and the best is yet to come!
On November 27th, the partners in this project will come together virtually to share the results of their food traditions. Students will exchange ideas and tips about associated dishes.
The project envisages the creation of a public TwinSpace to share festive food traditions between schools in Portugal and Türkiye (and other countries if joined project). It aims to promote cultural exchange and improve school practices, culminating in a possible gastronomic fair where students will present typical dishes from both cultures.

MISSION
To educate students as citizens who are loyal to Atatürk's principles and revolutions, the basic principles of the Republic, Atatürk's nationalism expressed in the Constitution, who adopt, protect and develop the national, moral, spiritual and cultural values of the Turkish nation; who know their duties and responsibilities towards the Republic of Turkey, which is a democratic, secular and social state of law based on the basic principles at the beginning of the Constitution, and who have made them into behaviour, who know their own self and their abilities and aim to use them in the service of their nation.
Our school was established in the 1973-1974 academic year as a middle school, initially serving 91 students with 5 teachers. The high school section of our school began its educational services in the 1978-1979 academic year.
In 1994, our school adopted the Foreign Language Weighted High School program, and starting from the 1994-1995 academic year, two branches of this program were implemented. Due to the merging of foreign language-weighted high schools with Anatolian High Schools in the 2004-2005 academic year, our school discontinued its foreign language-weighted section and continued as a general high school. In the 2007-2008 academic year, our student dormitory also became operational. In 2013, our school transitioned from a general high school to an Anatolian High School and assumed the name "Cumhuriyet Anatolian High School." That same year, the school also shifted from a double-shift education system to a single-shift one.
In 2023, our school was designated as an institution that implements special programs and projects (Project School), and for the 2023-2024 academic year, it accepted two classes of 9th-grade students (30+30) through the central placement exam.
As of the 2024-2025 academic year, our school, which has been providing educational services since 1973, has 183 students, 10 staff members, 21 teachers, 3 assistant principals, and 1 principal. Since 2008, our students have benefited from our dormitory, which has a capacity of 40 male and 36 female students.
As the first and only Project Anatolian High School in the Bakırçay Basin, our school, with its 51-year history, is one of the most established high schools in the district. We dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to preparing our students, aged 14-18, for higher education institutions such as universities and academies, in line with the Ministry of National Education's high school curriculum.
For us, the academic success of the young people who will shape the future of our country is important, but equally vital is their moral, ethical, psychological, social, and cultural development. In this context, we provide additional support to our students through education in areas such as social skills, multiple literacies, healthy lifestyles, sports, and the arts, alongside the standard curriculum. Additionally, we take great pride in being the school that participates in the most international projects within the district, helping our students develop in all areas, break down prejudices, embrace the values of tolerance, multilingualism, and multiculturalism through these international projects.
