Studying the book of Acts
The Adventure Bible Challenge (ABC) is a team-based challenge that tests the groups’ knowledge of sections of scripture. Each year a new block of scripture is assigned, and excited Adventurers commit themselves to immerse themselves in those passages of God's Word.
After months of study, they gather together on the second week of March with other teams to test their knowledge against a set of questions drawn from the scriptures they have been covering. Each team competes against a standard, and all who perform to the designated percentage win first, second or third place. Yet any team can win this placement based solely on their efforts.
1. Can my Adventurer/child participate if they are five years old?
a. Yes, your Adventurer/child can participate if they will be turning six within the current Adventurer year.
2. What version of the Bible will be used for the Adventurer Bible Challenge?
a. The Adventurer Bible Challenge will utilize the New King James Version to formulate questions and verify answers.
3. What platform will be utilized to administer the challenge?
a. We will utilize Nearpod to administer the ABC.
4. Is class A uniform required for participation?
a. Class A uniform is required for participation in the ABC as set forth by the AEC.
5. What question format will be utilized for the ABC?
a. All questions will be created as multiple-choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank(s) format and will include the scriptural reference.
6. Can a church have multiple teams?
a. Yes, a church can have multiple teams. Each team for that church must have (4-6) Adventurers/children on that team with no more than two teams per church/school.
7. How many questions will the ABC be compromised of?
a. The ABC will be compromised of 50 questions with points awarded for correct answers.
8. Can there be a tie between multiple teams?
a. There will only be one first, second and third place team winner. In the event of a tie, we will ask the teams that are tied questions until one incorrect answer is provided.
9. When will the Adventurer Bible Challenge be held?
a. The Adventurer Bible Challenge will be held on the second Sabbath in March.
10. Where will the Adventurer Bible Challenge be held?
a. The Adventurer Bible Challenge will be held on the AEC Adventurer Zoom channel and broadcast to the AEC Adventurer Facebook and YouTube pages.
