SEMESTERs PARENT,

Thank you for supporting your son or daughter as they go to the nations! Your child is about to embark on an adventure with the Lord which will change hearts and transform lives. We at Adventures are honored to be part of this journey. While this is an experience of growth and development for your son or daughter, you are also about to embark on a journey of your own. As you release your child to go overseas, we understand your desire for them to have a positive experience and we know you probably have concerns about safety and security. We want to help you understand how we handle all of those things.

The following serves as a resource for you, introduces your family to the Semesters Program and provides the information you need to move forward in confidence in your partnership with Adventures. Your child is growing into adulthood. Semesters gives them freedom to make decisions for themselves and empowers them to take responsibility for their actions. Our expectation is they will be responsible to meet all deadlines, be your primary source of communication and information, and be ready for an adventure of a lifetime.

As you read through the following information, we pray the Lord shows you specific ways you can support your child as well as encourage them to grow into the man or woman God has created them to be. This is a great milestone and we are cheering with you, believing God will do incredible things in and through your children!

Blessings,

Semesters Staff

You can find our Racer Health and Safety plan here. This outlines the preparations we took and the protocols we had in place on campus this fall.

You can find our on field Covid plan (and information for the January 2021 international launch) here.

You can find details about the international insurance plan at the Insurance and Safety Information here - and through the link at the top of this page. We have been able to add international Covid coverage for the Racers. You can find information on that here.

Due to the constantly changing regulations and conditions related to COVID-19 - both in the U.S. and around the world - some of the standard information found on this resource site may not apply. we are communicating adaptations to individual trips to all interested participants as we have information, but we are unable to keep this site completely up to date due to how quickly things are changing. Contact Betty Means with specific questions.

***You're Invited! Parents of Semesters Trip participants will be invited to a Parent Reception at the start of Semesters Training Camp IF the trip starts in Gainesville. For teams that meet at their ministry location city, you will be invited to a Zoom call. It will be an opportunity to find out more about who Adventures in Missions is and what we do, meet Adventures Semesters staff and ask questions, and meet other parents and participants on your son's or daughter's squad. The invitation, along with more details, will be emailed to you. You can email bettymeans@adventures.org if you have any questions.
