Personality refers to individual differences in characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. The study of personality focuses on two broad areas: First, understanding individual differences in certain personality characteristics, such as sociability or irritability. The other is understanding how the various parts of a person come together as a whole. There are many test tools to determine the kinds of human personality, whereas one of which is the MBTI. MBTI is a test tool which is used to understand yourself, and others. Brighton JHS uses the MBTI as a test tool, to be clearer, and open to understanding oneself as well as others.
The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a self-report questionnaire that claims to indicate differing "psychological types" (often commonly called "personality types"). The test assigns a binary value to each of four categories:
Introversion or Extraversion
Sensing or Intuition
Thinking or Feeling
Judging or Perceiving
Each category is represented by one letter, which is then used to create a four-letter test result representing one of sixteen possible types, such as "INFP" and "ESTJ".
The purpose of this study is for the students to not only understand their personalities, but also understand others’, and furthermore to create efficient and effective collaboration in the community.
