About

The department of Chemistry of Aditi Mahavidyalaya was established in 2012 by allocation of a separate laboratory space and teaching room for academic activities. Before that, the chemistry was integral part of Department of Education for teaching of optional subject to B.El.Ed. students.

The Department of Chemistry extends the teaching of Chemistry subject to undergraduate students under different courses of different departments of the college. The teaching services are consistently extended to the Education department (B.El.Ed. IInd Year and B.El.Ed. IIIrd Chemistry courses). The undergraduate students under FYUP B.Sc. Home Science (H) 3rd year were taught Chemistry section of Physical Science course for year 2015-16. The teaching faculties are also involved in teaching compulsory Environmental Studies course to undergraduate students from different departments viz. B.Com (H), B.A Geo (H), B.A. pass, B.A. (H) Social Work, B.Com and other classes. In New Education Policy 2020 based new curriculum (2022 onward), the chemistry faculty are teaching the Value Added Course - Science and Society of University of Delhi. 

The department strives to provide advanced quality education to undergraduate students through innovative teaching methodologies such as through traditional interactive as well as smart classes, audio visual presentations, practical experimentation, student presentations and innovative research projects.
