Candidates for the Adirondack Hall of Fame must meet the following requirements:
Candidates for the Adirondack Hall of Fame must meet the following requirements:
- Election to the HOF shall be open to persons who have made an outstanding contribution to the school as a superior competitor, coach or supporter of the Adirondack sports program.
- Athletes must have graduated a minimum of five years prior to being considered for induction.
- Male or female participants in any recognized form of sports competition are eligible for nomination.
- Athletes must be Adirondack Central graduates. Persons from the Boonville, West Leyden, and Forestport schools (pre-merger) may also be nominated.
- Nominees must have demonstrated good citizenship and character in their lives.
- Athletic merits will be based on their time at Adirondack. Athletic merits beyond Adirondack can be taken into consideration as well.
- A coach or administrator shall be considered after leaving the Adirondack Athletic Department program.
- An outstanding team can be voted into the HOF, but must also wait until 5- years after the team competed last.
- Nominations will be accepted for any athlete, coach, administrator or contributor who through his/her commitment, sacrifices and dedication to the Adirondack High School Athletic Program has brought pride and distinction to our school and community.
