Adrienne DeAngelo has eaten and worked her way through the Bay Area food industry, having held jobs in PR, marketing, sales and food education.
She has been freelancing since April 2023, working with Pomella (now closed), Donato Restaurant Group, and Mr. Espresso. Before that, she was Senior Account Manager for Public Relations at af&co., a boutique PR and hospitality agency based in San Francisco. There, she worked with the legendary restaurant team at One Market (now closed) to launch their Jewish deli pop-up Mark 'n Mike's; with "Top Chef" contestant Nelson German on the opening of his Oakland cocktail lounge, Sobre Mesa; and with TCHO to re-launch the chocolate company as an entirely plant based brand. She also oversaw the PR efforts for Gott's Roadside, Taste Tri-Valley, and more.
Prior to joining af&co., she worked at Ellipses PR, a food & hospitality PR agency based in Oakland, where she helped name and launch Dumpling Time and worked to turn OCHO Candy into a nationally recognized candy brand. In the years before Ellipses, she was a publicist at Fortune Public Relations, a small PR agency specializing in all-natural snack products. Among the many brands she represented were GimMe Foods, Boncora Biscotti, Amano Chocolate, Sahale Snacks and Amy's Kitchen.
Before she entered the world of PR, Adrienne worked as the Marketing Manager at Bay Area Italian food importer A.G. Ferrari Foods, where she wrote the popular monthly newsletter and trained retail employees about small-batch artisan products from every region in Italy. She was once the cheese & charcuterie manager at Oakville Grocery in Walnut Creek (now closed).
Adrienne is originally from New Jersey but has lived most of her adult life in the San Francisco Bay Area after graduating from Mills College. In Fall 2022, she and her family moved from Oakland to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for a temporary change of pace. They returned to Oakland in July 2024.
