This page will be dedicated to things discovered by teachers throughout the district. We have teachers/staff doing awesome things across our district constantly but it can be challenging to find the time to recognize and/or celebrate all of them. I also believe that we can all learn from each other no matter the grade level. All it takes is the willingness to learn something new and and openness to trying new things.... all with the student in mind.
1.Choice Boards and Class App- Alena Smith(Grade 2)
Alena was kind enough to share some amazing tools that she has used in the past and they are absolutely amazing. I would encourage you to check them out!

Class App- Yes, you read that right, you can make your very own app!.... sort of.... It is actually a google slide but it feels just like an app to the user. You and/or parents and students can even save it to a phone so it looks and feels like an app. Click here to check it out!
2.Virtual Bitmoji Classroom- Carrie Osborne(Integrated Services)
Carrie shared a resource that has a plethora of tools to create your very own site. No matter your grade level and or subject area... they are there. You could build an infinite number of unique websites with all of the resources that are here.

3.Plickers- Megan Glandon(5th Grade)
Wondering how you can use QR codes in your classroom? Check this out! Megan shared a tool with me that makes use of QR codes to create a fun and interactive way for students to respond to questions and for teachers to receive real-time data in return.
Plickers- This is a free site/program. It does require some initial setup but based on what I observed in Ms. Glandon's classroom, it is totally worth it. Click here to watch a video of Ms. Glandon and click here to be taken to the website to get started!
4. SlidesMania and SlidesCarnival- Mila Rowe(Middle School)
Google Slides is a great presentation tool. However, it is limited with regards to templates available by default.... with maybe 7 or 8 that you can choose from. However, did you know there are other tools like out there? Mila shared two amazing sites with free presentation templates available!

SlidesMania and SlidesCarnival are both free to you and they each have a plethora of free template options for about any occasion that you might need. Click on the links to navigate to the sites and check them out for yourself.
