An extension is a tool that can make your life easier and most are super simple to add and set up. Check out this video for more about what they are and how they can help you.
Check below for videos sharing usefulness of some of my favorite extensions!
This is a great tool for taking screenshots of select parts of your computer screen. You also have the option to edit it!
This sounds like an artsy extension... but it is super valuable if you need to write over any screen from your chromebook. It also allows you to take a screenshot so you can save for later.
QR codes can be used to access information quickly with the use of a camera. However, they are a great tool to share out information/notes quickly as shown in this video.
If you are a math and/or science teacher that has struggled in the past with creating and delivering assignments/quizzes/tests or other activities online because of the challenge of typing the unique math symbols, this is for you! Equat.io makes this a fairly seemless process.... and this only touches the surface of what it can do!
You may have seen my other video on how teachers can use this tool. This video focuses on how we can help students make use of this tool as well. In turn, helping both the student and teacher with delivering math/science content online.
I have found a couple extensions that have really made using QR codes efficient for everday use.... whether you want to create them to share out or you would like to scan them. These two extensions will have what you need!
If you would find value in viewing a video while completing another task this extension is for you. This makes it easier to follow along with a video as you are completing the task you are trying to learn. Pretty cool!
This is #4 on my "Mr. Hammond's Fave 15 Chrome Extensions" from above. However, that is no indication as to where it stands in my favorite list. I have a lot of extensions I really like but I might use the word 'love' here. This extension offers many reading and writing tools that are really unmatched by any other digital tool I have seen as of yet. Check it out!
