National Health Service Corps Substance Use Disorder Workforce Loan Repayment Program
Application Period/Due Date: March 4th - May 26th
Criteria:
The NHSC SUD Workforce LRP seeks eligible Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors, and SUD Counselors who provide quality evidence-based SUD treatment or associated health care services at NHSC-approved SUD Treatment Facilities located in HPSAs (see the “Definitions” section) identified by the Secretary of HHS. HPSAs can be found in rural and urban communities across the nation.
Eligibility:
Be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or CASAC certified.
American Citizenship, noncitizen national, or permanent residency (international students, DACA students, and work visa holders are not eligible to apply).
Have a current, full, permanent, unencumbered, unrestricted health professional license, certificate or registration in the discipline in which they are applying to serve.
Participate or be eligible to participate as a provider in the Medicare, Medicaid, and Children’s Health Insurance Programs, as appropriate.
Be eligible for federal employment.
