Awards Latino men and women with significant economic need who are pursuing a master’s degree in social work
Must reside in NYC, Nassau County, Suffolk County, Westchester County or registered to vote in the NY metropolitan area
Applicants must be accepted or currently enrolled in a full-time or part-time master’s level program.
Overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
Must be bilingual in Spanish and bi-cultural.
Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident
Must be in good standing to receive subsequent scholarship awards as a continuing student
Prior work and/or volunteer experience or internships/field placement in human services and working with communities of color is desirable but not required
Have significant financial need
Demonstrate commitment to working with the Latinx community upon completion of graduate students and sign a letter of acknowledgement
