Application Period/Due Date: Check in with One Stop

Criteria:

Provides grant assistance for eligible part-time students enrolled in approved undergraduate studies.

Eligibility:

1. Be a legal resident of New York State and have resided in NYS for at least 12 continuous months prior to the start of the term.

2. Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.

3. Have graduated from a high school in the United States, earned a high school equivalency diploma by passing a Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) formally known as a GED, or passed a federally approved "Ability to Benefit" test as defined by the Commissioner of the State Education Department.

4. Be enrolled as a part-time student; 3 but fewer than 12 semester hours per semester or 4 but fewer than 8 credit hours per trimester.

5. Be in good academic standing.

6. Be charged at least $100 tuition per year.

7. Meet income eligibility limitations.

8. Not have exhausted Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) eligibility.

9. Not be in default on a student loan made under any NYS or federal education loan program or repayment of any NYS award.

10. Be in compliance with the terms of any service condition imposed by a NYS award.

11. Net taxable household income cannot exceed $34,250 for independent students or $50,550 a year for dependent students or independent students with children 

Documentation to be Submitted:

1. A.P.T.S. application from Adelphi.

2. Signed copy of NYS Tax Return.
