Sara is an ambitious Norwegian student currently pursuing an undergraduate biology degree as an international direct student at Adelphi International. Sara is bringing to Adelphi a unique blend of experiences and a passion for wildlife conservation.
Before venturing to New York, Sara served as a Guard Commander in the Norwegian Air Force, demonstrating leadership and discipline in her role. However, her true calling revealed itself during her volunteer work in Africa. While Sara was in Namibia she dedicated her time to creating new ways to track animals, aiding farmers in understanding the local wildlife and fostering a harmonious relationship between humans and nature.
Sara's time in Namibia sparked a transformative realization. While her love for animals remained unwavering, she discovered a broader interest in wildlife conservation beyond the veterinary office.
Sara's journey took an unexpected turn when she met her boyfriend in Munich. Their connection led her to move to New York, where she embarked on the next stage of her journey at Adelphi University. Despite being so close to one of the largest cities on earth, Sara finds solace in Adelphi's serene and secure environment, allowing her to focus on her studies without distractions.
Immersing herself in the academic realm, Sara finds immense joy in her biology classes, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to delve into more specialized courses in the field. Her academic journey at Adelphi serves as a stepping stone towards her ultimate goal of obtaining a master's degree in wildlife management.
Looking ahead, Sara envisions herself living in Australia, drawn to it’s rich wildlife. With a master's degree in wildlife management, she aims to contribute significantly to the conservation efforts aimed at preserving the diverse ecosystems of Australia and beyond.
