Team Composition:

Varsity: 5-7 players that demonstrate an ability to compete in Front Range League Matches and other 18 hole events. 

JV: 6-8 players that show an aptitude to grow their skills during the season and can compete in 18 hole events.

All level of players will be CHSAA certified and have the opportunity to "play up" in the program as scores dictate.

Playing Expectations:

Varsity: 70s to mid 80s  

JV: mid 80s to 95  

General Season Practice Schedule:

4:00 -5:30 @ Thorncreek GC

We also practice at Hyland Hills, Greenway Park, and TopGolf.

EXPECTATIONS: 

Players have their own golf bag and clubs for trying out for the team. 

Players have a general understanding on how to implement the rules of golf and can pass a team playing test. 

Players have experience walking a minimum of 9 holes and be prepared to walk 18 holes.

Players are allowed to use a push cart during play but they are not provided by the golf program. 

Players have transportation to and from practices at Hyland Hills, Riverdale, Thorncreek and TopGolf.

Tournaments within a 10 mile radius of MRHS will require players to have their own transportation to those events. Many events happen during the school day.

PLAYER EXPENSES:

District Athletic Fee $150 

Team Fundraiser/Uniform: $200 (Charged to players accounts post tryouts if they make the team)

Players receive and keep 2 team polos and a single team outerwear piece. This payment is applied after players qualify for the team.

PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Athletic paperwork, proof of current physical on file with the athletic secretary and district athletic fee to be paid prior to tryouts. 

Team golf bag to be cared for during the season and returned at end of season (replacement cost of golf bag $200)

ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY: 

CHSAA 2 F’s on last semester are ineligible for Fall Sports and during the season,

A single F precludes a player from traveling to an event during the school day.
