Ever experienced a writer's block? Here are some tips on how to overcome them, by Xander.

About my writer's block and how to cure it (by Xander Karan)

So what is writer's block anyway?

Writer’s block is basically something that makes one unable to think what to write next or how to proceed with writing.

Is writer's block normal?

Writer’s block is actually quite normal but after a while, it will eventually wear off. Usually what a Writer’s block does is it blocks you from thinking about what to write and it's like a roadblock but in your head. It stops you from moving forward in your story like how a roadblock blocks cars from going forward.

So long story short the answer is: yes.

How to overcome your writer's block?

  1. Go for a walk.

  1. Eliminate distractions.

  1. Freewriting.

  1. Listen to music (calm not rock music).

  1. Play (My personal favorite toy is LEGOS).

  1. Do something to get your blood flowing (I like cycling).

  1. Read a book (My personal favourite harry potter).

  1. Change your environment.
