Important Notes Regarding MYP5 Science

March 21, 2020

Hello MYP5 Science students (and parents).

I hope you all are well. In light of the current pandemic we have moved everything to virtual learning. Starting Monday, March 23, we will resume classwork aiming to have some fun and get everyone online and familiarized with our new instructional model. Please bear with me as we venture into these uncharted waters. We will finish up some work started and review over the next two weeks, however we won't cover any new material until April 7th, as outlined by Dr. Burrows in his communications.

In the meantime, check out the slideshow on Coronavirus Biology - yes, I know it is gigantic. I strongly believe that the more you know, the less unknown there is to fear. So take a look and share with others. I can't take much credit for it - another teacher from outside of Seattle started it and I've merely made some edits for clarity.

Be well!

Keith

1. All of MUHS has moved all curriculum to our Google Classroom and realtime communications to Hangouts Meet (1-3pm weekdays). If you are having trouble accessing either, feel free to shoot me an email to set up a time to troubleshoot. (Note : to access either link you must have an ACSDVT account and be signed in to it.)

2. Our daily agenda is changing to a weekly learning plan, below.

3. PARENTS/GUARDIANS: If you'd like to receive weekly updates, be sure to check your email for an invitation from our Google Classroom. Accept it and then you can adjust when and how often to receive email updates on what's going on in class. You can also add our classroom calendar (embedded below) to yours.

An amazing slideshow created by Gretel Von Bargen of Skyline HS.
