from Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road)

We are delighted to announce that three of our alumni, from the class of 2016, have graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) as the top 10% of the graduates in the cohort this year. They are Benjamin Toh Enming, Benjamin Tay Hong Xiang and Tan Qing Heng.

Benjamin Toh is one of the Top Nine award winners of NP’s cohort of 4,583 students. Graduating with a Diploma with Merit in Product Design & Innovation, he was presented the Lee Kuan Yew Award for being the most outstanding graduate from a technology course. He also received the NP Outstanding Achievement Award for being among a select group of graduates who have demonstrated all-round excellence. He has received a job offer from his former internship company in Shanghai and plans to keep his options open until the completion of his National Service. Benjamin’s advice for his junior is to find your passion, work diligently, remain committed towards your goals and never fear failure.

Not only did Benjamin Tay graduate with a Diploma with Merit in Mechanical Engineering, but he was also awarded the Certificate In Advanced Engineering Mathematics. He intends to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London after completing his National Service. Benjamin speaks fondly of his memories at ACS(BR) and emphasized that developing strong people and communication skills are critical in ensuring good working relationships in a highly collaborative world.

Tan Qing Heng graduated with a Diploma with Merit in Banking & Financial Services. He was awarded a 6-month internship in Australia, where he worked hand in hand with one of the country’s leading startup. On the benefits he gained as an ACS(BR) student, Qing Heng shared that the equal emphasis on nurturing our students’ character and providing the best learning experience has helped shape his thinking to become a more mature person. He is also thankful for all the opportunities provided to experience learning outside of the classroom in the form of overseas trips and learning journeys.

Once again, we would like to congratulate our alumni on their sterling performance and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours. The best is yet to be!
