ACS Middle School Independent Learning

Dear Parents and Students,

It is critical to the health and well-being of our whole community to use breaks to take the time to rejuvenate, find balance, and engage in activities that feed our passions.

These are unprecedented times and there is a need for increased flexibility and adaptability. As a school, we are continually adapting and adjusting to meet the needs of our students. We look forward to welcoming students back to ACS in the fall feeling rested and ready to engage in new learning.

In the meantime, please choose to use this site as a vehicle to engage in optional learning activities whenever students choose to do so. I want to thank Mary Lawson for helping to curate and vet the resources on these pages, and Kim Cottin, from our communications office for helping us build this site.

The site is divided into three pages: Parent Resources, Reading, and Activities.

All of this is optional for your family to engage with as you please. There are some excellent resources for families to consider and my suggestion is that if you choose to engage with some of these options, or with others, that you do so in a manner that permits students to rest, rejuvenate, and to seek balance. As I have always told students at the end of every semester - seek balance, read for pleasure, exercise and enjoy your family!

Take care and enjoy your time away from classes!
