Engineering develops and maintains the technology infrastructure that powers lending operations. They build, optimize, and secure digital platforms, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and compliance. The team collaborates across departments to develop innovative solutions, enhance automation, and improve the customer experience through seamless, efficient technology.
What requirements and technical training is needed to get into this position?
Technical Bachelor's Degree
Ability to code in whatever language/system you are being hired for
What do you do on a day-to-day basis?
Attend team stand up to touch base on any blockers and get assistance if needed
Work on tasks
Collaborate with other coworkers as needed.
We work on 2-week sprints and get assigned tasks by the product manager of our team.
We’re split into different teams based on specific KPIs for that quarter.
What days/hours does your team work?
Monday through Friday
8 AM - 5 PM
Occasionally work is required after hours for testing and releases
Who are the key stakeholders and who is impacted by your work (who’s your client)?
Members, Marketing, Sales, Operations.
What are the metrics/KPIs used to define success?
Lending Business Unit KPIs, including loan origination volume, contribution margin, and delinquency rates. Specific KPIs that are improved with tech efforts (e.g. close rate, connect rate)
Define the micro-culture of the department and what makes it special/unique?
Teamwork driven, collaborative, and focused on delivering data driven results
How is the work structure – independent work or more collaboration?
Mixture of both. Each individual engineer gets assigned their own work but it’s typically a piece to a larger pie. Collaboration happens often.
