Courses opened for 2026 entry on 13th May. Applications can be submitted to UCAS from 3rd September. The deadline for applications is 14th January 2026.
UCAS supports 1.5 million students every year to explore entering higher education, employment and apprenticeships
It manages almost three million applications, from around 700,000 people each year for full-time undergraduate courses at over 380 universities and colleges across the UK.
It also provides a wide range of research, consultancy and advisory services to schools, colleges, careers services, professional bodies, and employers, including apprenticeships.
Students can use UCAS information on careers, apprenticeships and university to explore what routes are available and which one is right for them.Â
UCAS is often considered to just be a place for those wanting to go to university.
However, UCAS is also really useful for:
Finding and applying for an apprenticeship or other training.
Finding out about careers and labour market information.
Writing and developing your CV.
Gaining insights into starting work.
