What is The NWEA MAP Test?
The NWEA MAP Growth test, or Measures of Academic Progress, is a standardized assessment that measures student achievement and growth. The test is adaptive, meaning it adjusts to each student's ability and knowledge level. For example, if a student answers a question correctly, the next question will be more difficult. The test is untimed, and students usually spend about 60 minutes per subject area.
Teachers use the results of the MAP Growth test to understand their students' individual needs and help them progress. The test can also track student growth over multiple years. Teachers can use the results to inform their instructional strategies and set a baseline for what students know and how they are growing.
