About me

My name is Mrs. Pamela Alleyne. (pronounced A-leen)

I have been a School Media Specialist (Librarian) for TEN years.   Being a librarian has been a life-long goal of mine. I love to read and collect books. My primary reading focus is Young Adult books (YA books) because  I want to have read the book(s) that I am recommending to you.

Yes, I too am a Viking! I graduated from Atlantic City High School. The class of 1984!  I attended Wilberforce University a Historically Black College and University located in Wilberforce, Ohio. I graduated from Thomas Edison State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. I continued my studies at New Jersey City University earning a Masters  degree in Educational  Technology with a School Media Specialist certification.

I am super excited to  be here amongst my Viking family and I can't wait for you to come to the library, so we can talk about one of my favorite topics: READING!

On Fridays, ask me what HBCU shirt I am wearing.  In support of all Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)  I have a collection of t-shirts that I proudly wear.

My Motto: “We talk.  I listen and I learn. And based on that,  I recommend a book that you might like."
