Course Objectives

This course intended to introduce the fundamental concepts of aeroelasticity and prepare the learner for future development in the field


Course Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO's)

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  1. Identify the different types of aeroelastic problems
  2. Solve problems involving wing deformations under aerodynamic loading
  3. Determine divergence and control reversal speeds for a straight wing
  4. Prepare computer code to solve the static aeroelastic problems
  5. Solve the 1-D panel flutter problem under thermal loading
  6. Solve simplified wing flutter problems
