Zoom offers communications software that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration. This is the tool that we use to deliver most of our online classes. You will need to know how to sign up which can be done through your Google account, join a meeting, use the meeting controls and how to ask for help in a breakout room. A basic account is free.
Start by watching the tutorials below. Afterwards you might like to check out the Zoom Help Centre for further questions.

Zoom help centre has a wealth of knowledge about Managing Video Breakout Rooms with both video and text combined with visual tutorials.
When you are studying online, you may wish to meet up with other students virtually. You could schedule a meeting where you can catch up and discuss assignments or simply just find out how everyone is getting on and provide moral support. With your Zoom Basic service, you get unlimited meetings, with unlimited minutes for one-to-one meetings. But if you have a group – 3 to 100 video participants – your meeting cuts out after 40 minutes.
Check out this video for instructions on how you can set up your own Zoom meeting. Useful if you want to meet with your fellow students, colleagues or even friends or family!
