Welcome to AcadeMir Charter School Preparatory 2018-2019 School year! This year, we will be encouraging you to "Follow Your Arrow and Make Your Mark!" We are truly excited to begin this new journey with you and your child.
We hope to get to know each of you, but first we would like to tell you a little about our team. :)

About Ms. Meza:
Hello parents, my name is Michelle Meza. I would like to welcome you to our 2018-19 school year. I am beyond excited to embark on this educational journey with you and your child! I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and have worked with young children for several years, in addition to being an educator at heart since I was a young child myself. It is my philosophy that learning should be both meaningful and fun and I look forward to working with a new class of learners, helping them reach their highest potential. Please know I am here to help in whatever manner you and your child may need.

About Mrs. Hoafat
My name is Gisselle Hoafat. I have been teaching for 7 years and graduated from FIU in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement. I have only ever taught Kindergarten so I am truly passionate about the little ones. I really enjoy working with kindergarten and believe that it is one of the most important grades because it is the foundation to it all.
I have a wonderful husband, a 10 month old baby boy, two dogs and a cat. I am an animal lover as you can see :)
I am truly excited to begin this new school year and look forward to meeting all of you!
About Mrs. Milanes
Dear parents, my name is Ana Milanes. This is my fourth year with AcadeMir and my third year teaching K. Before becoming a teacher, I was a nanny. I love to see children grow and reach their fullest potential. There is no limit to what they can accomplish with hard work and dedication. It is my priority to guide them through their first year of school and teach them to love education. I hope their experience in Kindergarten will serve to inspire them for years to come.
Queridos padres, mi nombre es Ana Milanes. Este es mi tercer año con AcadeMir y mi segundo año ensenado K. Antes de ser maestra, yo era una nana. Me encanta ver como los niños crecen y alcanza su máxima potencial. No hay límite de lo que pueden lograr con esfuerzo y dedicación. Es mi prioridad guiarlos en su primer año de escuela y enseñarlos a amar la educación. Espero que las experiencias de Kindergarten les sirvan como inspiración por muchos años en adelante.
About Ms. Roman:
I graduated from FIU in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in elementary education and have an endorsement in ESOL. This is my fourth year with the AcadeMir family and my third year teaching Kindergarten. I truly enjoy working as a Kindergarten educator. My goal is to provide the tools and support so that each student reaches their full potential. Kindergarten is the foundation of their learning that they will build on in the years to come. With your support, motivation, and communication, together as a team we can strive for each child's educational growth. I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing all the exciting things to come this school year!
About Mrs. Valido
Hi parents! My name is Elizabeth Valido and I am so excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Carlos Albizu University, I also have endorsements in ESOL and Reading. I have been with the AcadeMir family since our Eureka campus opened and I absolutely love it. Teaching kindergarten has always been an amazing experience!
My mission as a teacher is to help children discover the joy of learning, and to help each child develop a strong belief in his or her own ability. I want them to have a sense of pride in doing their personal best. I am happily married, have 2 beautiful children and I’m excited to announce that I am expecting my third baby this January. I will be back in March, but ensure that everything will run smoothly. Can’t wait to meet you all and have a fantastic year working together!
About Mrs. Rodriguez
Hello! My name is Luisa Rodriguez and I am delighted to join the Academir Charter School Preparatory family. I have been in the field of education for the past 10 years. I am a Montessori certified teacher as well as a Florida certified teacher. I attended Barry University where I achieved my Bachelor's degree.
I have a strong love and passion for teaching. This year, we will be exploring the world, growing our knowledge, and acquiring skills that will help your child succeed. I am eager for the adventures of the 2018-2019 kindergarten class to begin.

About Mrs. Dufau
Hello, parents! My name is Amanda Dufau, and I am delighted to be one of the Kindergarten teachers at AcadeMir. I have a Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management, and completed my teaching certification in December of 2017. While this is my first year teaching full time, I taught for a year and a half as a Project Based Learning Instructor at an afterschool program. Additionally, I recently completed a five year tenure as a preschool administrator.
I am excited about the upcoming school year, and look forward to getting to know you and your children.
About Mrs. Macias
Dear parents, my name is Patrice Macias. This is my first year with AcadeMir and my third year teaching. I have a Bachelor degree in International Business and Business Management from Florida International University and a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University. I have been lucky enough to have worked in the education field for the past 16 years.
Having been through all spectrums of the education field her passion and desire is to always inspire, engage, motivate, and embrace those “ah-ha” moments with her students!
I can't wait to meet everyone as we grow together!
About Ms. Carbonell
My name is Leah Carbonell and I'm a kindergarten teacher at ACSP. I'm very excited to say that this is my first year teaching! I graduated from Flagler College with a degree in Elementary Education. I also have endorsements in ESOL and reading. I look forward to meeting all of you and very excited to begin this school year!
