MOBILIZING THE CARING POWER OF COMMUNITY.
What was our annual Day of Caring is this year growing to become an entire Week of Action! Check out all the exciting ways to engage as individuals, families, corporate teams, and faith groups -- with both remote and in-person opportunities -- to give back to the community.
Donate food for the Acton Food Pantry, school supplies for students in need, masks for several local organizations, or essential items for Household Goods.
BRING THE JOY OF ART
Assemble art kits for residents in Minuteman Arc group homes. Wednesday afternoon at Acton Arboretum. Great family activity!
WRITE LETTERS TO SENIORS
Craft a note to bring a smile to an isolated senior. We hope to gather letters in English, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish.
CONNECT AN ISOLATED RESIDENT
Donate a tablet you no longer use for those who need a way to connect, especially now.
CHALK THE WALK
Share your creativity to help promote racial justice. Reserve a square on the sidewalk in West Acton Village to create chalk art.
CLEAN UP YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
Adorn gloves and venture out to pick up trash in your neighborhood. Let's see how much we can gather in total! Upload pictures, or post with #ABWeekOfAction
SPRUCE UP LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS
Thanks to volunteers from Boxborough Regency, Highrock Acton, and Setra Systems for taking on yard work at Minuteman Arc and Boys and Girls Club of Maynard.
DEEP CLEANING OF COMMUNITY SUPPER
A thorough cleaning of the kitchen used for Mt. Calvary's Community Supper.
Thanks to volunteers from Youth in Philanthropy.
Volunteers from Enterprise Bank will be working with the Discovery Museum to assembling kits for traveling science programs.
VIRTUAL STORY TIME
Retirees connecting with children from Acton Housing Authority for virtual reading together.
Thank you to our volunteers and families for creating time for these connections.
