BOOKS & ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
Books
Find the right book! Use the library catalog, have fun at WhatShouldIReadNext.com, and/or ask a librarian -- we live for matchmaking between readers and books! (And no, not in a sad way, thanks for checking in.) If we don't have what you need, you can use your student ID number (lunch number) to reserve and check books out from the Alamance County Public Libraries (ACPL). ACPL provides access to many ebooks and audiobooks! If asked for your pin, it's the last 4 digits of you Student ID/UID.
Watch student book talks to learn if any of their suggestions are right for you!
Databases
Databases are a wonderful source of up-to-date nonfiction and generally quality information. Looking for anything in particular? The librarian would love to help.
Ebsco: Most of our databases are available through Ebsco by logging in through Rapid Identity
Britannica: Britannica can also be accessed through Rapid Identity
Student Issues Researcher (SIRS): Access curated pro and con articles, timelines, and cartoons for a variety of complex current issues. Fabulous source for persuasive essays. Ask the librarian or your teacher for the login and password.
