This is a growing list of the online tools we will be using this year along with a brief description to help you better understand some of the online platforms your child will be using. There are also some tutorials for your children in Google Classroom on how to use these resources.

Google Classroom will be the "house" for all of your child's assignments. This platform is designed for the students to use with their school gmail account only. We will be adding the green and yellow icon to easily access Classroom to your child's toolbar. It will be important for your child to check here every day. All of their assignments will show up in the CLASSWORK section. As they finish assignments, it is also very important that when they complete an assignment they mark it as done or complete using the blue button.
Clever

Our Clever Portal serves as a "house" for all of the online programs and apps we will use. To access Clever, they must use their student gmail account as well. We will also be adding a blue C icon to their toolbar for easy access. In Clever there is a district page for all of our district programs as well as a teacher page where I can add some of the websites we use frequently for easy access.

All of these platforms can be easily accessed from the apps button in the top right corner of your child's webpage.
Google Drive
This is the "house" for all of your child's productivity documents.
Google Docs
This is a blank document where they can type information.
Google Slides
Slides is a a place where your child can organize information into a slide show.
Google Drawing
This app allows for drawing capabilities in Google.
Google Forms
We use forms a lot to collect data on how children are doing or answering quesions.
Jamboard
This is a newer app that gives your child whiteboard capabilities. It is a cross of Slides and Drawing.
FlipGrid
FlipGrid
FlipGrid allows student voice as a teaching option. Students will be given a link in Classroom to the assigned topic.

This is an interactive slide show that monitors progress/mastery of the content.

This is a website that allows me to record video and ask questions along the way monitoring progress/mastery of skills.
Pear Deck
Pear Deck
Pear Deck is Google Slides but interactive. It allows for questions to be embedded to monitor skills for mastery.
Class Dojo
Class Dojo
Class Dojo is a GREAT behavior management tool. Each day your child will earn/lose points for behavior, teamwork, doing their best work. The app will record their points and why they are gaining/losing them to help us if we need to look for trends in behavior. I have the capabilities to print a weekly report for you with this tool.
