Welcome to visual art!
I am excited to teach at graham for another year! To find out more about your grade level or an advanced level class click on the grade level tab at the top. Supplies needed are a notebook, pencils, and a shirt for when we paint. I will provide colored pencils, markers, scissors, glue, paint and any other art materials that we are using. Scholars are able to bring their own markers and colored pencils but I suggest they keep them near them at all times to prevent them from getting lost/stolen/mistaken as my own.
Parents, you can be added as an observer on Canvas to keep up with your child's work as well as check powerschool. Please see the powerpoint below which will outline the syllabus and be shown to the students the first day of class.
I come from a small town in Rockingham County where I lived for most of my life. I attended Averett University in Danville, Virginia where I received my Bachelors in Art. I started teaching at Graham Middle in July of 2019. I truly love my job and I plan to be here for as long as I can. I have a daughter and she is the light of my life. My favorite art mediums are charcoal and oil paints with my favorite artist being Edgar Degas from the impressionist movement.
